ELTRADE was founded in 1999 in order to address to the demand for the development of high-technology software for the financial sector.

The companies that already existed in that area would either represent software developed abroad -which to a big percentage never adjusted to the users' needs- or developed software programs in Greece, but didn't include the in-market knowledge, didn't satisfy the increased user needs, and didn't provide adequate support.
